Who do you think you are?
The society has recently received the following request, this is an independent request, if you wish to take part use the contact details below.
I am a journalist who regularly writes for BBC Who do you think you are magazine. I am trying to find people who have traced their family tree and unearthed an ancestor that they are particularly proud of.
This doesn't have to be anyone famous, it could be someone who died in battle, an inventor, someone who faced a lot of challenges in life, or any ordinary person who lived an extraordinary life.

I was wondering if any members of your society might be interested in taking part in an interview and appearing in the magazine. Recently I interviewed someone who was a descendant of Dickens, and before that we featured a reader who was descended from a lady who faced great trials living as a pioneer in a remote part of Australia. What I normally do is interview the person over the phone and request a few pictures.
The interview is then printed in the magazine.

If you know of anyone who would like to take part, please don't hesitate to contact me. My number is 07969 257493. The editor of the magazine is Sarah Williams, who is on 0117 927 9009, and she will vouch for me.
Many thanks for your help
