Membership

Do you live in the Pontefract area or have ancestry here? Join the Society to be part of a friendly group who provide help and advice, searches, and a growing list of publications. As a member you are welcome to attend our meetings every third Thursday in the month and you will receive a quarterly journal, The Bridge, packed full of interesting articles and snippets.

A search service of transcribed registers is in place, a Register of Members' Interests is maintained and updated, both as an published booklet and as a section on the website.

We have CDs, maps, books and booklets available on loan to members at meetings. Members may also borrow books and magazines at meetings from other societies from the Society’s library. There is a well stocked bookstall at the meetings, and books can be purchased at the meetings, by post or over the Internet through the GenFair site and the Parish Chest site.

The subscription as from 1st January 2008:

Individual	£10 per annum
U.K. Family	£13 per annum
Overseas	£15 per annum
